We do not recommend ClearSilk to patients who:

• Are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have active infections, rashes, cold sores, or open wounds in the treatment areas
• Taken isotretinoin medications, including Accutane, in the past 6 months

One of the benefits of the ClearSilk laser is the minimal skin preparation and recovery. This treatment bypasses the uppermost tissue layers, so it requires significantly less downtime than traditional ablative lasers.

We recommend patients follow these general guidelines before and after their ClearSilk appointment:

• Before: Stop retinoid use at least 3 to 5 days before your session.
• After: Avoid saunas, intense exercise, and exfoliating skincare products for at least 24 hours after your appointment. Instead, apply SPF 30+ sunscreen every 2 hours and wear a hat outdoors to protect your results and maintain your skin’s health.

While many patients notice an immediate improvement in skin luminosity after treatment with our ClearSilk laser in Florence, greater improvements to skin tone and clarity develop in 2 phases:
