What is BBL HERO?
BBL HERO is quite similar to IPL laser treatments with a few key differences: it’s typically faster, more comfortable, and offers a somewhat broader range of treatment areas. What can I expect during treatment with BBL HERO?
A topical anesthetic may be provided, but it’s typically not needed by most patients. Gel is placed on the treatment area to enhance your comfort and maximize efficiency. BBL HERO will be passed over the desired treatment area delivering blasts of high-intensity light. You will likely feel a warm, slight snapping sensation with each flash of light, which is generally tolerated well by most patients. When your session is done, a moisturizer and sunscreen will be applied to soothe and protect the skin.
Will I need any downtime after my BBL HERO treatment?
In most cases, no downtime is needed after treatment. We recommend that you avoid direct sun exposure and apply sunscreen before going outside. Most patients find BBL HERO to be more comfortable and experience an easier healing period as compared to other laser treatments. It’s important to note that some areas take longer to heal than others; the face takes about 1 week, whereas legs may take about 4 weeks on average.
What results can I expect from BBL HERO?

On average, most patients require at least two BBL treatments for desired improvement, though more may be needed depending on the patient. With IPL treatments, we’ve found that three to five treatments spaced about four weeks apart offer the most desired results. In many cases, results will take about 2-4 weeks to become noticeable and can last up to 12 months.
